Getting Around ••

The majority of travelers to Cambodia fly into Pochentong International Airport in Phnom Penh, though some visitors choose to fly directly to Siem Reap from Bangkok. A growing number are also arriving overland.

Visa and Travel Requirements
Visas may be acquired at overseas Cambodian embassies or upon arrival at the international airport in either Phnom Penh or Siem Reap.
Tourist visas: US$20; Business Visas: US$25 for thirty days that may be extended in-country. Tourist visas can be extended a maximum of 3 months.

It's possible access into Cambodia by land from neighboring countries, Vietnam and Thailand (recently from Laos is not official yet).

Access from Vietnam:
There are 1 international border check point at Bavet (Cambodia site) and Moc Bai (Vietnam site). Visitors can travel by land across this point mainly from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to Phnom Penh City, Cambodia, it around 230 km between these two cities. At the border, there are many taxis in both sites, and taxi cost to Phnom Penh is about US$10 per person, by National road No.1.

Travel by this way visitors can enjoy the beautiful landscape of the east part of Cambodia in the Mekong area, but one thing should be notice that the road No.1 is under construction, and it will be completed in 2003
