Most nationalities receive a one month visa on
arrival at Phnom Penh 's Pochentong airport. the
cost is US$ 20 and more passport- size photo is
required, Easily extendable one month business
visa are available for US$25.
Coming overland from Thailand, visitor have to
obtain a visa in Bangkok as the are not available
in PioPet or Kok kong .
Travelers arriving overland from Ho Chi Minh city
(Saigon) will have to obtain a visa before they
arrived, but these are easy to get in Vietnam.
You must have Moc Bai as an exit point on your
Vietnam visa to use this route.
Visa Extensions
Visa extension can be granted in Phnom Penh. It
is simply a matter of having the cash at hand,
and there more the merrier. once passport-size
photograph is required.
If you are planning to work in Cambodia to get
a one month business visa for US$25 as it can
be extended indefinitely, whereas a tourist visa
can be extended only once for one or three months.
Officially one month costs US$30; three months,
US$60; six months,US$100; and one year, US$150.
However, this way the police will keep your passport
for about 25 days. Strangely enough the office
offers an express, nest day service at inflated
prices: US$45 for one month, US$80 for three months
and so on.
If you try to get your passport returned early
at standard price, you may well fined the extension
cancelled, in which case you have to pay the US$3
per day over-stay charge in departure.
