The Purple Mountain Hotel (pronounced in chinese as "Zi Jin Shan Da Jiu Dian") is a newly-built four hotel located just outside the East Gate to the inner wall. The hotel is about 45 minutes drive to the airport and about 20 minutes away from the famous Bell Tower. The hotel has a posh lobby and the guest rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. Rooms are equipped with cable TV, IDD phone, mini bar, internet outlet and in-room safe. If you dine in the hotel, there are Chinese restaurant which serve good Jiangnan cuisine and a western restaurant. The hotel's multi-purpose meeting rooms are equipped with advanced audio-visual equipment and are ideal for conferences or business meetings. The Zhongshan Hall has a capacity of 260 seats. The hotel also has a good fitness club with new equipment, simulating golf practice, billiards room, sauna, karaoke and beauty parlor.
