Shanghai Wild Animal Park : Shanghai Wild Animal Park is 35-km away from downtown. The zoo is arranged according to the natural living habits of the wild animals and built with a natural environment imitating the origin of the animals. The animals are mainly kept free in the zoo accompanied by scattered feeding and enclosed feeding. There are about 10,000 heads of 200 species of precious and rare animals found in different places in the world. The zoo is divided into the herbivorous free-grazing area, the carnivorous free-keeping area, the flamingo area, the scattered-keeping area, the waterfowl lake and the rare and precious animal enclosed-keeping area. There is also a birds'
garden, a butterfly garden and a children's pet zoo. Visitors are entertained with performances by sea lions and some other animals. The zoo is partitioned into two major zones of visit in cars and visit on foot. It offers visitors knowledge, entertainment and interest at one time.

The Oriental Pearl Tv Tower The Oriental Pearl Tv Tower : The Fubo Hill stands solitarily in the northeast of the city,with half of it in the Li River.On the eastern side of the hill are a winding corridor facing the river,a teahouse and a "Tingtao (Listening to the Waves)Pavilion" built along the cliff of the hill. On the west side,a flight of stone steps leads to the Kuishui Pavilion which is half way up the hill,and then to the top.At the foot of the hill are the "Pearl-returning Cave"and "A Thousand Buddhas Cave".In the "Pearl-returning Cave",there hangs from the ceiling a rock which nearly touches the ground.
Legend has it that once a general name Fu Po tested his sword by cutting what was originally a stone pillar and has left a crevice at the bottom ever since then.In the "One Thousand Buddhas Cave",there are in fact 200 Buddhas statues.Because of the beautiful sight and its peculiar caves,the hill is praised highly as "Fu Po Resort".

Shanghai International Convention Center Shanghai International Convention Center : Shanghai International Convention Center is located in the southwest of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower in Pudong. It covers an area of 45,000-sq.m. with a landscaped square of 30,000-sq.m. Its total floor space is 110,000-sq.m. It consists of several modernized halls: a 42,000-sq.m. multi-functional hall, able to accommodate 3,000 diners for banquet and 4,000 attendants for meetings, and serve as an exhibition hall, a 25,000-sq.m. exhibition hall, a 11,000-sq.m. underground exhibition hall, an 800 seat-capacity meeting room, two 200 seating capacity meeting rooms, 20 meeting rooms of different sizes, accommodating 50 or 100 people. There are 259 guest rooms, including presidential suites, executive suites, standard rooms, Chinese and Western restaurants, a coffee room, a nightclub, a show room, a gym, a swimming pool, a bowling room, a billiard room, a sauna bath and a shopping arcade. The underground parking lot can accommodate 600 cars. Shanghai International Convention Center was opened for business in August 1999. The '99 Fortune Global Forum was held here.

Sightseeing Tunnel at the Bund : The tunnel extends from the foot of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower in Lujiazui, Pudong, to the Bund at Nanjing Road, East, beside the statue of Chen Yi, with a total length of 646.7-m, an external diameter of 7.48-m and an internal diameter of 6.67-m. It is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year and opened to the public in the second quarter next year. There are 4 levels at the exits. Passengers crossing the river may take the escalator up to the platform and the handicapped can use the elevator. Passengers travel in the tunnel in unmanned, towed and sealed cars of the '90 up-to-date design. It takes only 2.5-5 min. to cross the river. The maximum transport capacity is 5,280 person/times per hour. The tunnel adopts modern hi-tech means to display in the empty space all kinds of patterns and scenes, showing human figures, history, culture, technology and scenic spots with background music. A trip across the river in the tunnel will be full of interest, amusement and excitement, leaving deep impression in tourists' memory.
