Inspired by the natural beauties of simple and healthy living, Baan Krating Chiang Dao is located on a nutrient rich soil where our homegrown pomelo garden cherishes healthily on our property.

A boutique resort with 10 private villas and a restaurant are served to visitors who enjoy their drives from Chiang Mai to see a natural limestone cave at Tham Chiang Dao and taking pictures with beautiful flowers of Doi Angkhang Royal Project. At kilometer 63th, guests can take a break from their long drive for a cup of freshly brewed coffee and a quick lunch.

We have created a mountain boutique resort while maintaining the core characteristics of Thai hospitality with the flexibility of private home living. It is a wonderful place to be relaxed and enjoyed the beauty of Mae Ping River and the peaceful Northern forest.

NO extra beds are possible in any of the Deluxe Rooms • All rates are quoted in Thai Baht, are inclusive of service charge and Government VAT, and are quoted per room per night. • There is no charge for children under 12 years of age, sharing the same room with adults and utilizing existing bedding. Breakfast for the children is paid directly to the hotel. • For the room occupancy allowance, there is a maximum occupancy of 2 children under 12 years of age sharing with 2 adults or 3 adults per room. • The Triple Room rate is based on 3 adults sharing the same room with an extra bed. • All rates are subject to change without prior notice.

Construction Report

Further to the unexpected flash flood, which has overflowed the Mae Ping River and Pai River on last 13 August 2005, Baan Krating Chiang Dao was among the resorts, which were damaged and were obliged to close temporarily for renovation.

The renovation is now on progress and the reopening schedule is as follows:

Restaurant: The renovation work has been completed and the reopening date is on 01 November 2005.

Resort: As the 7 single villas were 100% destroyed and the interior of the 3 remaining rooms were 100% damaged including the resort’s landscape.

Please be informed that the resort cannot be resumed to operate by the next 2 years (2005-2006).
