Construction Report

A main construction will commence in mid of March 2005. The location of The Barai Spa is approximately 20 to 30m from the nearest room block on the Regency Club room wing and approximately 180m from the regular rooms. The construction will be non instructive as it will be built outside the main hotel area on an adjacent piece of land.

The project will be managed by a professional project management company to conduct and control the work in the most efficient and quite manner, minimizing any disruption to the guests. The construction is utilizing the pad foundation and not piling. The hotel has previously built one mock-up spa treatment room and did not have negative comments from any guests. In fact the hotel does not anticipate any noise being heard at the main pool, beachfront and recreation areas during any phase of construction.

Predominantly the working hour will be from 8:00 – 18:00 hrs and any work that generates the most noise will be conducted between 9:00 – 17:00 hrs. During the construction the work will be sectioned off by using boarding and every effort will be made to reduce any inconvenience to the guests.

Towards the end of the main construction the majority of the works will be fit out and finishing works where any noise is not anticipated. The hotel expects that The Barai Spa will be fully operational in 4th quarter of 2006.
